This game interprets the 2024 Game Jam theme "It's Spreading" by focusing on the spread of words among a large population. Designed as a casual, single-player experience, it offers simple yet satisfying progression.

Video Review!
Love it!
Great game! Short and sweet and does what it sets out to do!
Some houses or building or events might have been cool additions!
Option to choose rumor is nice, neat concept.
So, honestly this game is alright. The graphic and art style are memorable and the fact you can pick your belief and spread it really gives a sense of originality to your belief. It accurately displays how rumors are spread, and how variations of a romor can be differentiated between people. Although, I feel a sense of loneliness and not much competition, as its really easy to overcome the other rumor, and i feel like it could do with things like cutscenes or conversations, maybe an expanded art style where you have to pick the right dialogue or they won't believe you. Some building and some more paths or plants could be cool, and could setup other problems like having the other group be violent and maybe burn your house down, in this aspect it could turn into a longer game, where your not only worrying about your safety but also your opponents' opinions and beliefs. This game could include a day/night cycle, in which different environments and events could happen.
With the right mindset, this game could have some real potential to be a nice game which also accurately displays the spreading of rumors. Great job. - DoomyX3
Thanks for the feedback guys!
The world building was the thing that got left out the most in favour of ensuring a playable game. There is a lot on the roadmap and most of what you mention here is going to be built in one form or another! So feel free to check back and see how development is coming along.
Thanks for taking the time!
Love this charming little game! The music was a solid choice for atmosphere, simple but engaging mechanics, with room to grow for sure! Splendid job.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
What a fun game :D, I liked the voice-acting. I liked the simple mechanic for sure. It would be nice to have some of them not being able to convert at all. My personal strategy was just to focus on the yellow flag people and slowly but surely I would outspread them.
Thank you!! It's been great seeing/hearing people's strategies :D I've got a lot more to add after the Jam!
A cute little game, had a lot of fun! The opening dialogue was fantastic! (and getting yelled at for skiping xD) Felt a little lacking in conflict, would be a great PvP game or addition of hostile NPC, add a couple of power -ups and would be hours of fun. Avoided the Paladin/cleric/crusader? for the first few games but then realized i wasn't penalized for attempting to convert him.
Thanks for playing! I'm glad you feel like there could be more there as I've got lots of plans beyond what is just in the GDD!
Loved it since I first saw the name of the game and few screen shots the other day. I was so happy to test it now and spread the heresy! :D
Yay! Thanks so much for playing!
Lovely game, it's funny hunting down the counter-heretics to stop them from spreading their lies.
The narration at the beginning is great.
I am currious what you'll add, if you continue working on the game.
I've got loads planned! Thank you for playing!!
heretic him/her/theirself is very cute. Love this interpretation of the theme and has so much potential to build on the mechanics - great work.
Thank you! Glad you like it!
I like the concept of the game. However, I couldn't play it. The game just vibrated really fast up and down and it turned completely black.
I am on the Firefox browser.
Ah that's a shame! I tested it on firefox and it worked fine but I have a feeling Windows might have some issues. If you have a linux box you could try the linux version.
All the same, thanks for trying to check it out!
For me, on firefox, worked fine.
Thank you!!
I liked the flavor of the game, voice acting and music felt great and definitely an interesting base concept!
Thank you!!
This has a lot of potential with more interactions and abiliries and also could be cool as a local multiplayer party game
Thanks for playing! I have a lot planned but I hadn't thought too much about local multiplayer. I think you are right though so I'll look into options there as I carry on development!
really cool concept I'd love to see expanded !
Thank you!
Cool game :) graphics kind of go blurry on only some assets but other than that loved it
Thanks for trying it out! Any chance of a screenshot? Not sure what would be blurry
Np!
The flags at the top and the people walking around arent as clear as the player is. not sure if that part is intended but the flags are pretty blurry
You are a diamond! I've uploaded a fix hopefully - I'm not sure why it wasn't an issue for me. Would it be possible for you to check again now? I really appreciate the help!
Still blurry for me
Ok! I've tried one more change!
